Breaking the Silence 2019 campaign launched in Nigeria

Breaking the Silence 2019 Campaign was launched in Nigeria today while social worker from Manipur, Urmila Chanam is travelling across different States, to raise awareness and educate on menstrual hygiene management, in the African country of 200 million population.
The campaign's Nigeria partner is Star of Hope Transformation Centre.
Talking to Urmila, she said, "My long term friendship with global changemaker, Olutosin Oladosu Adebowale from Nigeria has helped me achieving the support for this social movement in Africa. When women come together, they can change the world."
Grassroot outreach, trainings and advocacy programs are lined up ahead of this campaign which has succeeded in India to position menstrual hygiene management as an urgent issue requiring policy and practice, she added.
