IMPHAL, Jul 2 : The semi-final line up of the 2nd SDAU Trophy being organised by SDAU, Tekcham at Tekcham HS Ground has been completed today with the conclusion of quarter finals.
The third quarter final match of the tournament saw Wangjing FC seal a place in the semi-final after beating SD Enterprise, Chingtham by 7-4 goals via tie breaker after a 3-3 draw.
It was a rollercoaster encounter as SD Enterprise rallied back thrice to make it 3-3 during the normal time but could not do well in the shoot-out to crash out of the tournament.
Suresh (9'), Abishek (22') and Arjun (32') scored for the Wangjing FC in this match while Nanao (17', 28') and Helen (38') scored for the SD Enterprise before Wangjing FC made the most of the scoring during the penalty shoot-out.
S Dina, Meiraba, Malemnganba and Nongpoknganba made the effort count during the shoot-out for the winning side while only Kh Pritam found the back of the net for the Chingtham side.
The last quarter final saw Sapam FC edge out RPU Papal by 7-6 goals via penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw during the normal time.
Sapam FC started the game on positive note as Ruhikanta opened up the scoring in the 3rd minute of the match but RPU hit the equaliser in the 14th minute with the help of Lalit before losing in the shoot-out.
Y Kamando, Y Brojen, S Nikhil, S Ruhikanta, Narakanta and Rishikanta scored for the winning side while only W Lanchenba, Sanajaoba, N Michael, Sanamacha and N James could made their effort count for RPU.
Yesterday, in the first and second quarter final matches YDA clinched a 3-0 win over Kakching FC while G-5 overwhelmed SLYO by 5-1 goals.
Y Abocha (13'), W Arunkumar (21') and Bikram (38') scored to earn YDA a convincing 3-0 win against Kakching FC.
Meanwhile, a brace by Roshan (24', 31') and singles from Shital (10'), Krishnananda (19') and Arun (40') helped G-5 seal a 5-1 win against SLYO, Heirok. Ph Romesh grabbed the consolation goal for the losing side in the 43rd minute of the match.
