Bike rally against drugs held at Yairipok

Thoubal, Jul 21: Lamyanba Gym, Yairipok Top organized a bike rally in and around Yairipok against intoxicants, drugs and alcohols and to spread awareness about the evil effect of drug abuse and alcoholism to the youth and society.
The rally was flagged off by Tulihal ZP member K Inaocha Devi together with proprietor of Lamyanba Gym, Noren and president, Apunba Nupi Khunai Lamjingmeira Lup, Ima Ibetombi from Yairipok Top Laimang and rallied around the villages of Yaripok at Nongpok Keithelmanbi, Yambem, Angtha, Poroukhongjil, Wangkhem, Leirongthel etc, and culminated at Yairipok Top.
Nongpok Keithelmanbi Juvenile Club, LPYC Leirongthel and LYCY Yairipok Lamlai extended full support to the rally against intoxicants, drug abuse and for healthy life and joined the rallyists in raising slogans against the dreaded substance.
One sportsperson who took part in the rally said that Manipur is home to many great sports personalities and urged the youth of the State to focus on sports instead of indulging in drugs and alcoholism so that more laurels can be brought to the State from around the world through sports.
