L Rishikanta clinches gold at 12th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports C'ship

IMPHAL, Jul 21 : Manipur's Laitonjam Rishikanta was able to clinch a gold medal for India in the 85 kg class at the 12th Mr South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2019 organised from July 18 to 21 under the aegis of South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation at Kathmandu while Laishram Neta finished 4th in the 55 kg class.
Laitonjam Rishikanta Singh is the son of Laitonjam Manoj and Laitonjam Ongbi Indira Devi of Pastoi Part IV and trains at Kanglei Body Builders Gym located at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak under coach Sapam Joy.
Laishram Neta on the other hand trains at United Gym Manipur, situated at Uripok Laishram Leirak under coach S Dhruv. He was born to Laishram Ibomcha and Laishram Ongbi Manglembi Devi of Uripok Yambem Leikai.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Body Builders Association in its press release, expressed happiness over the achievement of the two State players.
The association also extended gratitute to Indian Body Building Federation for sponsoring the two body builders.
