Dead employee given promotion, new posting!

IMPHAL, Jul 21: The Directorate of Health Services has promoted a dead person and also given new posting, according to documents available with The Sangai Express.
Late Chungkhopou ser-ved as an LDC at the District Hospital, Chura- chandpur and his service was terminated upon his death with effect from March 18, 2013 by an order issued by the Director of Health Services on April 9, 2013.
But surprisingly, he was found promoted to UDC and posted at CHC Kangpokpi by an order issued on June 12, 2019.
Another retired UDC, Semkhojam Baite, who served at PHC Moreh has also been re-posted at CHC Parbung, according to the same posting order.
Semkhojam retired from service on 28 February 2019, about three months prior to his posting order.
The surprising news doesn't end here, sources told The Sangai Express that the Directorate has promoted a 'non-ST' employee under the ST category.
Frequent transfer and posting has greatly affected the services of all categories of employees.
There are also employees who have never been transferred to any second place since the day they joined service while many other employees are transferred and re-posted after every couple of years, the sources added while further asking if favouritism had taken deep roots in the Directorate.
