GP by-poll

IMPHAL, Jul 30: Notice for by-election to three vacant Gram Panchayat seats has been issued by the State Election Commissioner Secretary Radharani Mutum.
According to the notice issued on July 29, by-poll would be held at 8/5/8 Keibul Awang Sagram (UR) of 8/5 Moirang Khunou GP under Bishnupur CD Block, 1/2/2 Kangmong Meisnam Part-I (UR) of 1/2 Kangmong GP under Patsoi CD Block and 3/9/2 Yengkhom Leirak Part II (UR) of 3/9 Lamjaotongba GP under Patsoi CD Block would be held on September 9.
The last date for filing nomination papers is August 5 while scrutiny would be done on the next day.
The last date for withdrawal for candidatures has been fixed on August 9.
Voting will begin at 8 am and continue till 4 pm and votes would be counted on September 12, according to the notice.
