Kang celebrated

IMPHAL, Jul 4: Rath Yatra or Kang, was celebrated with pomp and grandeur in the State today.
As a part of the festival, Chief Minister N Biren Singh as well as various BJP Ministers and MLAs also took part in the Kang/Rath Yatra celebration at Shree Shree Govindajee temple.
CM Biren, his wife N Hiyainu, Education Minister Th Radheshyam and MLA Rajen and others attended the religious ceremonies at the temple apart from taking part in Kang Chingba. The CM and the Ministers/MLAs also took part in the Rath Yatra celebration at ISKCON.
As a part of the festival, Kang Chingba events were also held across various leikais throughout the State and on the other hand, as is the norm, people also went to places like Andro, Keirao, Thoubal and Yairipok to eat pineapples.
