TRCC hails HC order

THOUBAL, Jul 7 : Thoubal River Conservation Committee (TRCC) has hailed the order of Manipur High Court that restricts unauthorised quarrying  and mining of soils and stones from any river in the State.
While urging the State Government to find suitable places for mining and quarrying of sands and stones for utilisation in development  works, TRCC further appealed all the Districts Administrations and law enforcing agencies to be extra cautious and perform their duties diligently to save the rivers from further degradation.
TRCC also appealed the general public to inform the concerned Court or TRCC in case they witness any activity that might pollute the rivers.
