JAC members remanded to judicial custody for 15 days

IMPHAL, Aug 10: Members of the JAC formed in connection with the mysterious death of Ningthoujam Babysana and members of Thangmeiband United Club (TUC), who were arrested by police, were produced before the Court of Duty Magistrate and remanded into judicial custody for 15 days.
All together 10 members of the JAC and TUC before the Court along with a prayer for remanding them into judicial custody under the charge of organizing bandh with the intention to incite the general public in organizing unlawful assembly thereby disturbing the peace and harmony of the area.
After going through the police record, the Court remanded the members into judicial custody for 15 days.
