Patriot's Day observed at Tripura

Marup- weekly newspaper and Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum Tripura observed  128th  Patriot's Day at Tripura today.
Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum Tripura president Ningombam Bira Singh, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura president RK Jitendrajit Singh, Lamyanba chief advisor Wangkhem Birmangal Singh, Takhen Leima Tengbang Lup vice-president Khundrakpam Prajapati, Thongratabam Gourakishor Sharma and All India Radio (AIR) Agartala News Editor Dr Reena Nongmaithem attended the event.
The gathering paid tribute to the photos of  Bir Tikendrajit and Thangal General and observed two minutes silence.
Baby Khoisnam Chanu Momota (Thoibi) performed Khongjom Praba. Poem recitation and varieties of cultural programmes marked the event.
"Marup" Weekly Newspaper and Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum Tripura also felicitated eight elders of Kawabon, Nalgoria, Khunou and Bridhanagar who are well known in various fields (Pung, eshei, social activists).
Khongthang Publication also released "Mahan Sahit Bir Tikendrajit Singh" (Bangla) written by DS Kabrabam.
