Womenfolk stage sit-in

THOUBAL/Cdl, Aug 13:  Nungbrang Apunba Meira Paibi and locals staged a sit-in protest appealing the Government and authorities concerned to deliver justice for Babysana Tuesday.
During the sit-in, the women condemned the 'failure' of the police to solve the case till today and demanded that all involved be arrested and awarded stringent punishment.
It may be noted that N Babysana, a Class VII student, was allegedly found hung to death inside the boarding room inside the Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School campus on July 18.
Meanwhile, the Widows Welfare Society, Chandel too strongly condemned the mysterious death of N Babysana. "It is unfortunate that justice has been delayed," it said in a statement today demanding the authorities concerned and Government to 'find the culprits at the earliest and bring justice'.
The society also assured moral support to the JAC concerned and conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members.
It may be mentioned that many organisations, school students have been demanding speedy investigation and justice  for Babysana.
