MPCC, ZU (AMN) condole

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has condoled the demise of former president of Tamenglong District Congress Committee as well as ex-chairman of ADC Tamenglong, G Shoihem Haomei today at his residence in Taosang Khullen, Khoupum sub-division, Noney district.
A team of MCCC led by its vice president Sagolsem Achouba visited the deceased's home and covered his body with the party's flag to pay respect to him, said a press release issued by chairman of media department, MPCC.
It conveyed that the party as well as the people have lost a great person and a leader while sharing the pain and grief of the bereaved family and praying for the departed soul to rest in peace.
On the other hand, a condolence meeting, presided by its president Amu Kamei, was organised by Zeliangrong Union (AMN) at its head office in Imphal today evening.
The meeting mourned and expressed profound sorrow at the sudden demise of G Shoihem Haomei, said a press release issued by vice president ZU (AMN).
It stated that, during his time, he rendered selfless services for the people of Zeliangrong and he was one of the promoters of Haomei custom and culture.
He also served as the chairman of Zeliangrong Legal Committee and his dedication for the welfare of the community will be remembered forever, the statement added.
His demise is a great loss for the people of Zeliangrong people, it said and added that ZU (AMN), all Zonal Chairmen and his colleagues, ZWUM, KAMA, ZFA, ZYF and well wishers share the pain and sorrow of the bereaved family members and pray for his soul to rest in peace.
