Nritya Guru Ramesh Chandra passes away at 90

Renowned Manipuri Nrityaguru and singer Nongrakpam Ramesh Chandra Datta passed away at the age of 90 at his residence at Radhanagar, Tripura today.
He had received many prestigious awards. Recently, he was felicitated jointly by the Marup weekly newspaper and Manipuri film actress Leishangthem Tonthoi Devi. On Shraban Guru Purnima, he was also felicitated by Sanskar Bharati, Tripura Branch.
