Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti Manipur in association with Lakhsh Pioneer Committee and Nupishingi Apunba Yaipha Lup, Naoremthong Khulem Leikai observed Jadi Buti Diwas (Medicinal Plants Day) Sunday celebrating the birth anniversary of Acharya Balkrishna.
During the observance held at Naoremthong Khulem Leikai Community Hall, the gathering planted around 150 medicinal plants in and around the Leikai.
Around 100 people including Herojit Ngangomba Corporator ward no 27, A Thaja Devi Chairperson,  S Ulka Devi secy BJP Manipur State, members of Lakhsh Pioneer Committee and Nupishingi Yaipha Lup, Meira Paibis and members Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti planted medicinal plants.
N Neelima Devi, Rajya Prabhari Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti talked at the event about the importance of medicinal plants. Lamshang AC MLA S Rajen Singh helped organised the event.
The Jadi Buti Diwas was also observed at Hiyangthang Lairembi Complex, Imphal West and Keibi Yaibiren Children's Home, Keibi Sanapat Imphal East.
The programme at Hiyangthang Lairembi Complex was organised by Bharat Swabhiman (Trust), Patanjali Yog Samiti, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Yuva Bharat and Patanjali Kisan Seva Samiti of Imphal West district in association with Hiyangthang Lairembi Committee. Around 80 medicinal plants were planted at the event, said a statement of M Charan Singh, Zilla Prabhari, Bharat Swabhiman (Trust), Imphal West.  During the observance at Keibi Yaibiren Children's Home, around 300 medicinal plants were planted, said a statement of Dr N Rajendro Singh, Rajya Prabhari Patanjali Yog Samiti  Manipur.
