JIRIBAM, Aug 7 : "Huyen Lanlong Numit (Day)" was observed today at Hillghat Community Hall, Sorokatingbi, Jiribam district under the aegis of Jiribam District Huyen Lanlong and Cheibi Association (JIDIHULACA) in the presence of Meisnam Rajen Meitei, Thang-Ta teacher; M Maipaksana Mangang, president JIDIHULACA; S Manglembi Devi, president, AJWA and U Purnima, village elder as presidium members.
Chief guest of the function, Meisnam Rajen stated that Cheibi and Thang-Ta are among the precious art forms that have been left carefully by our forefathers as a gift for the future generation and it should be a pledge for all to help the artforms revive and develop to a greater extent.

M Maipaksana also noted that the observation was a part of the State wide celebration under the supervision of Thang-Ta and Cheibi Associations. Maipaksana continued that JIDIHULACA was established on August 1, 2017 with an aim of preserving and promoting the indigenous martial arts and ensure upcoming generations a healthy lifestyle.
