Sit-in staged

IMPHAL, Aug 8: Meira Paibis and womenfolk of Thangmeiband, staged a sit in protest at Naharol Leishemba Club, Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai today, demanding immediate and unconditional release of Leishangthem Pratap, co-convenor of the JAC formed in connection with the death of N Babysana, and threatening to launch intense agitation if the authorities fail to fulfil the demand of the people.
Speaking to media persons, advisor of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai Meira Paibi Lup, Khangembam Bilashini  informed that Leishangthem Pratap is also the president of Naharol Leishemba Club.
He was arrested from his residence by police yesterday without giving any information, which is condemnable.
She then demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Pratap and cautioned that the agitation will continue until and unless he is released.
