State aquatic teams announced

IMPHAL, Aug 9
Manipur Swimming Association has released a list of State players who will represent the State at various aquatic events of the 73rd Glenmark Senior National Aquatic Championship 2019 which will be held at Prakash Taran Pushkar, Link Road No 1, Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal from August 31 to September 4 this year.
The athletes named in the list and their respective disciplines and events are as follows:
Swimming (Men): N Jeson Meitei of KKDA (50 m breast stroke), M Chhatrajit Singh of Model Club (50 m butterfly), S Athouba Meitei of CSC (50 m back stroke) and S Punshiba Meitei of MGMC (50 m free style).
Swimming (Women): L Jessica Chanu of CSC (50 m back stroke), Dekalu Th Panmei of CSC (50 m free style), Matilda Laithangbam of CSC (50 m breast stroke) and Adishree Thounaojam of MGMC (50 m butterfly).
Diving : M Nurjit Meitei of MGMC for 1 mt spring board event.
Water Polo (Men):  M Johnson of SEDOC (Goal keeper-I), A  Alvish of KYO (Goalkeeper-II), Th Golson Singh of WYLCO (Captain); A Nongthang Singh of CSC, Ch Ajay of KYO, L Hillar Mangang of CSC, M Thouba of KYO, M Moirangamba of KYO, S Inunganba Meitei of CSC, L Robert of WYLCO, P Rabikanta of CSC, L Velenjit Singh of WYLCO and Ksh Nganba of WYLCO.
Water Polo Women : L Loushingthoihenbi Chanu of TYC (Goalkeeper); H Christina Devi of CSC (Captain), H Ishika Devi of CSC, M Binita Chanu of MGMC, H Apilika of MGMC, N Sweety Chanu of ARKRSU, H Siddika of NLM, I Lenna Devi of NLM, A Ngansana Devi of SEDOC and A Dina of SEDOC. As per the press release issued by Manipur Swimming Association, Kh Jilla will be the team manager while M Purnachandra Singh, M Debeshwor Singh and M Meena Leima were named respectively as water polo, diving and swimming coach.
