DSA Chandel bans ULFC's Wangnong for 1 year

DSA Chandel has banned ULFC's Wangnong (Jr No 20) from playing any football matches conducted by DSA Chandel for one year with immediate effect as per an order of the district sports association. Wangnong, his one team mate Wangpol and the club were penalised by a fact finding committee of the association constituted to look into an incident which involved assault and misconduct on the part of the players.
As per the order, Wangpol (Jr No 8) of ULFC has been debarred from playing a match of DSA Chandel Super Division League, 2019 while his team mate Wangnong was banned for 1 year from playing football and a fine of Rs 2,000 was imposed for his "involvement in assaulting the match official".
As per the order, penalty earlier imposed on Rishangam (Jr no 18) was withdrawn as he was not found involved in the incident while Bungdam (Jr no 9) who was found encouraging and supporting the incident was severely warned and given last chance not to repeat such misconduct. A fine of Rs 6,000 was also slapped on ULFC for disrupting a match, the order continued.
