SWC assured of 17th KK Memorial 1st Divn League title

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : SWC, Waikhong confirmed the top place of the 17th Ksh Kishorkumar Memorial First Division Football League title after beating JA, Kakching by 4-2 goals today at DSA playground in their last match of the 7 team tournament.
SWC, maintained a perfect run in the tournament which include 5 wins and a 1 win to amass 16 points, 4 points clear ahead of SRDC which are placed second with 1 match left to be played.
In their last match, SWC found the breakthrough with Tejkumar making the score in the 21st minute but H Oliver helped JA draw level in the 36th minute. After the two teams play out a 1-1 draw in the first half, SWC regained the lead through Suraj who scored the team's second in the 44th minute before M Arnold drew level for JA yet again in the 67th minute.
The game almost ended in a 2-2 draw but Suraj banged in his second goal to help SWC surge ahead and Bhume pumped in another during the stoppage time to help SWC run out 4-2 winners against JA and guaranteed themselves top honour.
