IMPHAL, Sep 25
The closing ceremony of the 6th State Level Archery championship 2019 organised by Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) was held today at Keithelmanbi Garrison.
A press release issued by IGAR said that the championship was conducted in three different categories namely Indian, Recurve & Compound rounds since September 23.
L Milon earned the gold medal in boys' Indian round event beating M Bikash and S Robert who finished with silver and bronze medals respectively while M Baby grabbed the gold medal in girls' Indian Round event as Abesana Irom and L Sophiya secured the second and third places respectively.
S Ramakanta fetched top place in boys' Compound Round while M Bikram and N Malemnganba settled for the silver and the bronze medals respectively.
The day also saw Sh Manorama (gold), L Dulina (silver) and T Suchitra (bronze) made the podium finishes in girls' Compound Round event.
AK Amarjit bagged the gold medal in boys' Recurve round event and M Malemnganba and N Parithoi finished and third to win the silver and bronze medals respectively.
In girls' Recurve event, L Seema, Jenifer P and Lumilla PH clinched the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Col Siddharth Chandra, Col Ops and Coord, HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles; Manipur Archery Association (MAA), vice president Mangisana Sharma and secretary, GA Ebopishak Sharma graced the closing ceremony as dignitaries, the release added.
