HC dismisses bail applications

IMPHAL, Sep 27: A single bench of the High Court of Manipur today dismissed the bail applications filed by Pheiroijam Landhoni and Pheiroijam Romita and permitted them to file the same before the Court of Session Judge Imphal West.
The senior counsel of the petitioners then sought permission to withdraw the bail applications and move the same before the Session Court.
Accordingly the bail application was withdrawn and the petitioners are permitted to file an application before the Session Judge Imphal West.
The High Court directed Session Judge Imphal West to issue notice to the Public Prosecutor directing them to file objection, if any, immediately.
Session Judge was further directed to dispose the applications on or before October 9 on merit without giving any adjournment to either parties It may be mentioned that Pheiroijam Landhoni and Pheiroijam Romita had withdrawal the bail application from Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West in the early part of September and filed  the same before High Court of Manipur.
