Angtha FC, NESU prevail in IE 1st Divn League

IMPHAL, Sep 28 : Angtha FC ran riot to notch up a 4-1 win against ABA, Kshetrigao while NESU, Khurai posted a 3-1 win against UPSA, Pukhao in the Moirangthem Ibobi Memorial First Division Football League Tournament 2019-20 which was put on hold for few days owing to technical problems.
In a continuation of a match that was stalled September 16 due to heavy rain, NESU were able to finish the game 3-1 against UPSA. NESU which were leading 2-0 with the help of Dickson (16') and Somokanta (17') on the previous date grabbed another with the help of Ronaldo during the stoppage time (80+2') after H Priyo pulled back a goal for UPSA in the 53rd minute, for the 3-1 win today.
Meanwhile in the 31st match of the tournament, Angtha FC's Premananda produced a fine scoring performance to hand his team a 2-0 lead over ABA in the first half before A Tikendrajit and P Arun pumped in a goal each to set up the 4-1 win.
Premananda handed Angtha FC the lead in the 11th minute with a fine attempt before scoring his second 5 minutes latter to make it 2-0 for his team till the break while A Tikendrajit extended the lead to 3-0 in the 55th minute of the match.
ABA's Malemnganba managed to slot home a goal in the 70th minute but the team failed to add more goals as their control on the ball was limited and to their disappointment dominant Angtha side had another goal with the help of P Arun in the 79th minute and ensured the huge 4-1 win.
USA will meet CSC in the next match tomorrow at 1 pm at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak before PRYA take on ESU latter at 3 pm at the same venue.
