Annual conference begins

IMPHAL, Sep 28: The 30th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists North- East Regional Chapter (NERC-IAPM) began today at the Imperial Hall, Hotel Classic, Imphal.
The conference which is being organized under the theme “Soft tissue Pathology-Morphology to Molecular” was graced by RIMS Director Dr A Shanta Singh, JNIMS Director Dr Th Bhimo and NERCIAPM president Dr JD Sharma  as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking to media on the sideline of the function, organising secretary, NERCON-2019 Dr Sorokhaibam Babina conveyed that the conference is held annually in various parts of North East.
Stating that the first conference was held at RIMS (then RMC) in the year 1978, she said that Manipur is hosting the same conference for the fifth time.
This conference provides a platform for exchange of knowledge, scientific ideas and at the same time familiarizes one with the latest trends and development in various fields of medical science, she added. Over 200 delegates from various NE States  are participating in the conference.
