Manipur cinema

IMPHAL, Sep 8: A two day discourse on Manipur cinema with regard to the present scenario and measures for development, will be held at Tribal Research Institute Chingmeirong on September 14 and 15.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Y Kumarjit, chairman of Cine Actors Guild Manipur, said that the two days discourse will be organized by Cine Actor Guild Manipur and is planned with the objective of improving Manipur cinema as well as to discuss ways for its further development.
He stated that Manipuri cinema is lagging behind others at present and appealed everyone to support the programme.
He also highlighted that during the two days discourse, eminent film directors/ film makers will give presentations on various topics.
Ksh Tejkumar, convener of the Cine Actors Guild Manipur, expressed gratitude to the State Government for giving Cabinet approval to the Manipur State Cine Policy.
