IMPHAL, Sep 9 : Bijoy Govinda Sevayet Committee Imphal organised the 241st Heikru Hidongba at Bijoy Govinda, Sagolband Thangapat today.
MLA Sagolband Assemby constituency, RK Imo, MLA of Wangoi Assemby constituency Oinam Lukhoi and wife of Chief Minister Nongthombam Hiyainu along with members of Bijoy Govinda Sevayet Committee were present at the function.
RK Imo, while speaking at the function, stated that Heikru Hindongba is a ceremony which has been observing every year since time immemorial.
The MLA wished for the ceremony to bring peace and prosperity in the State. Notably, the ceremony, after performing necessary rituals, was shifted from Shri Shri Bojoy Govinda, Sana Konung to Thangapat in Bijoy Govinda.
