IMPHAL, Sep 9 : The 32nd foundation day of Writers Forum Imphal was celebrated at Manipur Hindi Parishad Imphal Hall today followed by a book releasing event.
The celebration was organised by Writers Forum Imphal in association with Manipur State Kala Akademi Imphal.
Manipur State Kala Akademi Imphal secretary Lourembam Kishworjit, Writers Forum Imphal senior founder member Aribam Kumar Sharma and Writers Forum Imphal president Keisham Priyokumar attended the function as the dignitaries.
Sahityagi Pao (105th edition), RK Bhubonsana's Sana Kokchao and Bhut Ningthou (Meitei Mayek), RK Madhubir's Pralaygi Meirilaktagi (Meitei Mayek & Bangla), BS Rajkumar translated version novel Saroukol, Wangkheimayum Jayantakumar's Nonglen amagi Waree, Haobam Priyokumar's Network Fangdaba were some of the books that were released during the function.
A poetry recitation and a written quiz competition for children were also organised as part of the function.
Speaking as the chief guest of the event, Lourembam Kishworjit maintained that many great authors and writers have come up in the State who have produced books, which have provided immense benefit to the readers and helped them shape their life.
