IMPHAL, Jan 11 : Maisnam Meiraba Luwang has added yet another feather to his cap as he took off the title campaign of the year winning the U-19 singles title at the PRESIDENT CUP Nepal Junior International Series 2020 today at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The BWF junior world no 3 from Manipur who capped last year's campaign with the U-19 singles title at Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh Junior International Series held at Dhaka ( December 18 to 22), continued to maintain his fine composure against Nepal's Prince Dahal to clinch the first international  title of the year at the event hosted by Nepal Badminton Association under the aegis of BWF/ Asia Badminton.
Meiraba faced stiff opposition from the Nepal lad in the opening set of the final match staged today but made a good turnaround latter on to seal the game 21-16, 23-21, 21-15 and win the top honour for India.
Earlier in the quarter final, Meiraba eased past compatriot Shivam Kumar Mishran 21-12, 21-16 and romped past Sri Lankan rival Dumindu Abeywickrama 21-12, 21-8 in a relatively easy semi-final clash to book the final berth.
