ADC Sadar Hills Chairman inaugurates Saparmeina Public Ground

KANGPOKPI, Jan 14: Saparmeina Public Ground was inaugurated today during the 50th United Saparmeina Youth Club Annual Veng Sports 2020 inaugural function.
Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman of the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council graced the occasion as chief guest and UPF Spokesperson, Aaron Kipgen and Sony G Sang, MPS, SDPO Kangpokpi on behalf of SP Kangpokpi attended as guests of honour while Lunthang Haokip, ADC Sadar Hills Member attended functional president.
Executive Members of ADC Sadar Hills Kaisei Lhouvum, Lamkholen Kipgen and ZRA chairman Calvin, representatives of Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi, KSO Sadar Hills, village chiefs, officials of 38 Assam Rifles and Saparmeina local bodies and other CSOs leaders also attended the inaugural function of Saparmeina Public Ground cum 50th USYC’s Annual Veng Sports 2020
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing unveiled the inaugural monolith in the presence of other dignitaries and Rev Ngulpao, Pastor, KBC Centre KBC No 4 dedicated and invoked blessing prayer.
Addressing the gathering, the ADC Sadar Hills Chairman emphasized on the important role of youth in a rapidly growing and developing world and urged them to be change makers in the society.
He also said that to be responsible youth in the society, they must be physically, mentally and emotionally healthy and take part in community development processes.
They should focus on healthy habits, he said encouraging the youth to lead their community.
UPF Spokesperson, Aaron Kipgen said that the public ground was constructed with an aim to provide multitude of benefits through different types of games.
Youth should keep themselves healthy and take part in various sports activities.
The ground will prove beneficial not only to the   youth but to the whole community, Aaron said.
To mark the occasion and opening of USYC’s Golden Annual Veng Sports Meet, Kuki Sporting Club (KSC) and Muvanlai Athletics played a friendly match.
