YWC win T Subol Memorial T-20 Veteran Cricket title

IMPHAL, Jan 19 : YWC, Langthabal beat CYCLONE, Thangmeiband by 4 runs to win the title of the 4th T Subol Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament today at Langthabal Public Ground.
YWC which posted a modest 112 runs target for all wickets down in 18.5 overs, successfully overcame late blushes to hold CYCLONE to 108 runs in 20 overs and earned the narrow win today.
Samananda (29) and Manaobi (20) gave YWC a positive start after winning the toss and electing to bat first but  remaining order fell easy prey to Rohindro's bowling.
Rohindro scalped 4 wickets alone in 2.5 overs including the last wicket in this innings while his team mates Robindro and Bikom managed 2 wickets each to hold YWC for 112 runs in 18.5 overs.
CYCLONE looked to win the game but the fate swung fast as they had to bundle out for 108 runs for 8 in 20 overs despite Binoy and Robindro scoring 37 and 35 runs each.
Samanda led the bowling attack and removed three important wickets while maintaining a good economy. Premchand too played his part well by removing two wickets while Priyokumar managed a wicket in 4 overs to help YWC lift the title trophy.
Bablu with 11 wickets emerged highest wicket taker while Sayed Mujibur Rahman of LCCC who managed 221 runs and 1 wicket earned both the highest run scorer and man of the series awards.
L Samananda of YWC was on the other hand adjudged man of the final match.
