Singerbond FA set up final date with Sunrise Club

IMPHAL, Jan 22 : Singerbond FA beat UBFC, Hmarkhulien 5-4 via sudden death to set up final date of the 1st Moirangthem Jodishchandra Memorial Football Tournament with Sunrise Club, Kadamtala on January 27 at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground.
In the second semi-final match of the tournament which is being organised by All Jiribam Sports Association, UBFC dig deep to draw 1-1 before penalty shoot out ensued to determine which team will complete the final line up.
Nongjai gave Singerbond FA a slender 1-0 lead in this evenly matched game as UBFC were unlucky not to convert the chances they had but they did find the equaliser lately in the 76th minute through Ringson strike.
As the two sides failed to break the deadlock during normal time, the game was stretched to penalty shoot-out wherein Singerbond FA top UBFC 4-3 to come out 5-4 winners.
