Lanchenbi FC, Jackson FC, LDA secure wins, others split point at 5th Nilesh Wahengbam Football tourney

IMPHAL, Jan 23: Lanchenbi FC, Jackson FC, LDA emerged victorious while John FC(A) and  Apunba FC split point with Marup FC and King FC respectively at today's matches of the 5th Nilesh Wahengbam State Level Open Futsal Football Tournament 2020 played at Sayang Ground.
In the first match, Lanchenbi FC beat TYDA FC 3-2. Ibotomba of TYDA FC scored the first goal of the match one minute into the game followed by his team mate Nani's second in the 24th minute to lead the game by 2-0 against Lanchenbi FC.
Lanchenbi FC found their equalizer through Herojit's first goal in the 29th minute and Santosh's in the 30th minute. Lanchenbi FC sealed the game in their favour with Herojit's second goal in the 38th minute making the final score 3-2 against TYDA FC.
The second match of the day saw Jackson thrashing Thangjing FC 4-3 with Sudir's treble in the 6th, 8th and 12th minute and Irabot's single in the 26th minute.
Silesh scored a double for Thangjing FC in the 23rd minute and 24th minute followed by his team mate Anand's goal in the 38th minute.
The third match witnessed LDA crushing the EPU FC 8-2. Leslin, Akash and Neo scored two goals each for LDA. Leslin scored his and the match's first goal one minute into the game followed by another in the 40th minute while Akash scored his two in the 10th and 17th minute. Neo scored his double in the 20th and 35th minute while Lemba and Rahul netted one each in the 13th and 39th minute respectively to make their final score against EPU 8.
Naresh Meitei and Bidondatta scored one each for EPU FC in the 26th and 38th minute respectively.
In the fourth match of the day, John FC (A) and Marup FC played a 3-3 draw game. Priyanda scored a double for John FC (A) in the 9th and 10th minute followed by James' in the 16th minute. Marup FC's goals were scored by Premjit (in the 15th and 37th minute) and Arun in the 34th minute.
The final match of the day saw Apunba FC and King FC splitting score as their match ended 4-4. Prem scored a double for Apunba FC in the 3rd and 6th minute while Kishan and John added one each in the 12th and 34th minute to extend their score to 4.
Biseshwor of King FC scored double in the 30th and 40th minute while team mates Prem and Abung scored one each in the 13th  and 15th minute.
