UPACO continues plantation drive

IMPHAL, Oct 10: As part and continuation of its plantation drives to contribute towards a greener and cleaner environment, the United People's Administrative Council (UPACO) Manipur in association with Naorem Swang Rising Club Nambol planted around 300 saplings today.
Saplings of fruit and flower bearing trees such as leihao, chorphon (Indian olives), jackfruit, cinnamon, yongchak, guava, teak, heirangkhoi and other variety were planted in the surrounding areas of Nambol Naorem Awang Leikai ground, Laibung and alongside roads.
Brand ambassador of Go Green Mission Valentina Elangbam, UPACO members and around 70 volunteers of Naorem Awang Rising Club took part in today's plantation programme.
The organizers also thanked the Thoubal Divisional Forest Officer, Devala Laiphrakpam  for providing the saplings for today's plantation.
