Imphal, Oct 9 : The State Government has reaffirmed the site of the National Sports University which had been submitted to the Central Government in earlier instances.
The State Government condemned and considered it unfortunate, the circulation of fabricated information in various social media based on fake documents regarding the University. The State Government will take necessary appropriate action against persons responsible for such mischief.
The State Government will continue to consult all stakeholders and extend cooperation in future, to ensure that the National Sports University becomes operational with least delay, said a notification issued by Forest Minister Awangbow Newmai late today evening.
