MFDC reprimands person held for pirating films

THOUBAL, Oct 15: In the drive conducted by the Mobile Film Distribution Centre (MFDC) under the aegis of Film Forum Manipur to put a check on film piracy, another person was held and reprimanded.
The person, identified as Mihajuddin alias Azad Khan, age 32, s/o (l) Nasmul Hussain of Khergao Makha Leikai, Porompat PS, was held for film piracy of 3 Manipuri movies.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had downloaded the three movies from the MFDC app and pirated it. MFDC has also asked all those who had taken a copy of any of the pirated movies from the accused to delete it or face the consequences.
The proprietor of MFDC, Heikham Jayentakumar Singh has urged the public to support the Manipuri film fraternity and not to buy or indulge in pirated copies/version of Manipuri movies.
He also warned that all those involved in film piracy will be strongly dealt with in accordance to Law.
