The Peoples’ Task Force For Covid-19, Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State Branch, Indian Medical Association and Association Of Health Care Of India have been continuing its joint COVID-19 awareness campaign.
Today, an awareness programme was held at Lamsang Bazar with the help of Lamsang Nupi Khunai Apunba Nupi Lup (NIMPAL) and Progressive Youth Association, Lamsang Keithel, said a release of PTFC-19.
BK Moirangcha, convenor, PTFC-19; Dr Y Mohen, chairman, IRCS Manipur State Branch; Ksh Rashi, president, Lamsang Nupi Khunai Apunba Nupi Lup (NIMPAL); O Ratan, secretary, IRCS I/W Branch attended the programme as resource persons and presidium members, it said.
Resource persons speaking at the programme said the surge in the number of Covid-19 infection is due to the public as well as the Government failing to strictly follow the SOPs, it said.  
They appealed the public to strictly follow the measures, wear face mask, wash hands frequently with soap or use hand sanitizers and maintain physical distancing of 6 feet, it said.
PTFC-19 volunteers made public announcement using load speakers urging the shopkeepers and buyers to strictly following the SOPs when buying and selling goods.
The drives were conducted from Waheng Leikai to Singjamei and from Kakwa to Canchipur, it added.
