JNIMS to be closed for three days

IMPHAL, Oct 21 : Follwing the infection of 14 doctors and 2 OT technicians yesterday, all OPDs, Casualty ward and new admissions in Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) will be closed for three days from October 22 (8 am) to October 25 (8 am).
The Director of the JN Institute of Medical Sciences issued an order to this effect in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and to prevent further spread of the virus to all the health care professionals (HCP) of the hospital and the public.
During the said period, sanitation, fumigation and contact tracing/testing of all HCPs in wards concerned, hostels, casualty and OT will be done, the order read.
It may be mentioned that 14 doctors and 2 technicians tested positive for the virus yesterday.
