Chiulon reaches Puching

IMPHAL, Oct 26 : Satellite radio tagged Amur falcon named Chiulon has reached Punching village in Tamenglong district at around 6.30 pm, according to Wildlife Institute of India.
Dr Sureshkumar of Wildlife Institute of India, has said that the falcon which was fitted with the transmitter at Puching  last year reached the same spot after crossing China, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The bird flew towards Manipur-Assam border along Jiribam this morning before returning to Puching again, he said.
Sureshkumar also informed that signal with another satellite radio tagged Amur Falcon, Irang has been lost after the bird crossed Chandel district yesterday.
