Arms seized

IMPHAL, Oct 8 : Thoubal district police led by SP Dr S Ibomcha, Additional SPs, DSPs and SDPO's today cordoned off and conducted a house to house search operation at Lilong Turel Ahanbi Darul Uloom Maning Awang Area from 4.45 am to 7.30 am in connection with the upcoming by-polls in Lilong AC and Wangjing Tentha AC. During the search operation, 60 houses were thoroughly searched and 350 residents including 3 females were verified, said a police source. 3 DBBL, 2 SBBL along with cartridges; 1 NPB .20 pistol (licensed) were also recovered during the operation, it said.
