A dedicated COVID block was inaugurated today at Raj Medicity.
The block is in an area segregated from the main hospital building in the old parking area.
To start with, there will be 21 beds including four ICU beds with ventilators and three High Flow Nasal Canula (HFNC) and BiPAP and 50 more beds would be added in the near future, said a press release issued by the hospital authority,
Patients shall be provided food by the hospital- 2 meals, breakfast and evening snacks including fruits, at reasonable and affordable price.
No patient party shall be allowed in the COVID block but they will be allowed to see the patients through window panes, it said.
The hospital has started seeing patients in the open air OPD without subjecting them to compulsory testing for COVID-19. Only those patients requiring admission shall be tested and patients are admitted either in the COVID block or non-COVID block according to the results of test.
All COVID positive patients (mild, moderate and severe cases) shall be admitted and treated in accordance with the clinical Management Protocol provided by the Government, it added.
