DELHI, Dec 23 : Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested two alleged
drug traffickers and recovered five kg heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the
international market.
According to DCP Sanjeev Yadav, the accused
have been identified as Alok Tripathi (36) from Banda in UP and Anwar
Ali (58) from Manipur.
Several mobile handsets and SIM cards used in
drug trafficking have also been recovered from them. On December 20,
police received a tip-off that two drug smugglers would come to supply a
consignment to their Delhi-based contact. The arrested persons told
cops that the heroin was delivered to them by Nazeer and Waris, both
residents of Manipur. Cops are now looking for these two suspects.
