ATRPFM demands

IMPHAL, Dec 28: The All Tribal Rights Protection Forum Manipur (ATRPFM), has urged the State Government to issue  notification for election to ADC and conduct the same within January 5, 2021 or extend the term of office of the ADCs till the actual election is conducted, whichever is preferable.
In a statement, president of ATRPFM Joseph Rongmei warned that a 48 hour bandh will be imposed on National Highways of Manipur from 7 am of the following day (i.e. January 6, 2021) if the demand is unheeded.
He also urged the State Government to make the Chairmen of ADCs continue as the Caretaker Chairmen during the suspension period and restore their  positions as  joint signatories of the Bank Account for financial transactions.
