9th Memorial Saheed Madhumangol Lecture BJP is for the NE : CM

IMPHAL, Feb 12: The 9th Memorial Lecture based on the life and works of Saheed Madhumangol Sharma, his 25th martyrdom anniversary, were organised by Saheed Madhumangol Foundation, Imphal at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy today.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Education Minister Th Radheshyam and wife of late Madhumangol, S Satyabhama Devi were present at the event as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that Madhumangol was a supporter of One Nation theory and always preached human service.
The CM continued that the present Narendra Modi Government is well aware of the needs and wants of the people and added that even if the Indian economy is at a downward trend, the Modi Government is working tirelessly to fulfil the needs of the people.
He said that in the past, many poor people suffered as they could not bear the treatment expenses at the hospitals. However, with the coming of the new Government, it has introduced the Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) as well as the Ayushman Bharat schemes, for the welfare of the people.
Biren also said that the new Government has ensured proper education facilities and opportunities for many drop out students.
In the past, the people of the North East States were wary of the BJP. But now, they have realised that only the BJP is strong and committed enough to act in the interest of the people, he claimed.
Asking if any other political parties care for the people of the NE region as much as the BJP does, Biren said that the BJP Government is a very committed Government which acts under strict policies and programmes.
During the event today, people paid floral tributes to the portrait of late Modhumangol Sharma.
