Light rains likely on Saturday

GUWAHATI, Feb 20
Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in several places over Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and other parts of North East in the next 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, the region has witnessed isolated rain and thunderstorm with many parts in Arunachal Pradesh witnessing snowfall as well.
The India Meteorological Department has also forecasted that there could be light rains on Saturday in Manipur with the sky remaining partly cloudy with maximum temperature of 25-27 degree Celsius and minimum of 8-9 degree Celsius
As per the Meteorological Department, the region has been witnessing rain and thunderstorm due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
The Meteorological Department further said that North East India would again witness another spell of rain and thunderstorm between February 24 and February 27. Staff Reporter and NE Now
