Stop using front name, warns ZUF

IMPHAL, Feb 23: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has resolved to take stringent actions against those who are involved in kidnapping officials of Simplex Company from Taobam, Tamenglong District for ransom in the name of ZUF.
 In this regard, a press release issued by ZUF said that a  GPRN/NSCN group led by Raitu Chawang kidnapped the  officials from Taobam, Tamenglong District on Feb 19, 2020 for ransom.
 ZUF had investigate the report, it said and assured to take up stringent actions against all involved in the incident.
 Stating that Raitu Chawang and S Kamson have no moral authority and right to use the name of ZUF anymore as they had merged to GPRN/NSCN, the front advised the GPRN/NSCN higher authority to look into the matter before the situation goes out of hand.
It also advised Raitu Chawang and its group to stop playing the sentiment of Zeliangrong people.
Meanwhile, ZUF directed Kamei Khampu alais Akham of Sangaiprou to surrender before the party on or before February 28.
Kamei Khampu and other civil organization leaders along with Dihem Longmei alais A Longmei alias Nicholas have been collecting tax in the name of ZUF for the last one year from FCS, it claimed.
