Soniya Bomjan in KIUG boxing final

IMPHAL, Feb 28 : Soniya Bomjan of Manipur University has boxed her way into the final at the 1st Khelo India University Games, 2020 being underway at KIIT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Soniya who is a student of Lilong Haoreibi College representing MU in the women's 60 kg category earned the final ticket with a 5-0 overwhelming of Parul of Lovely Professional University in the semi-final today.

Soniya reached semis after beating Neetu of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana by RSC in the quarter finals.
