SEYO Tennis Tournament: Bushan to meet Rivaskar for men's open singles title

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : Bushan will face off with Rivaskar in for the men's open singles crown at the 2nd State Level SEYO Tennis Tournament being underway SEYO tennis court.
Bushan earned the final berth with an easy 6-2, 6-1 win against Becker today while Rivaskar book the last final ticket with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Azad Khan in another semi-final match.
The semi-final line up for the above 35 years doubles competition was also completed today.
Rupam and Bona made it to the last 4 with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win against Pritam and Jagat while Ashok and Pritam who reached the quarter final with a 7-5, 6-0 win against Prakash and Manikanta, too move into the semi-finals with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 win against Rabikanta and Akendrajit.
Dompson and Herojit also reached the semi-finals of the same competition with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Gobin and Binoy while Ibohal and Dilip completed the line up with an easy 6-2, 6-4 win against Rakesh and Iboton.
Rakesh and Iboton also became the first pair to book the final berth in the above 45 years doubles competition as they outlasted Kene and Kumarjit 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 today in the semi-finals.
Earlier, Rakesh and Iboton reached the semi-final today with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Balkrishna and Jayanta while Kene and Kumarjit got a walk over.
The day also witnessed Sharat and Sanatomba sealed a 4-6, 7-5, 10-4 comeback win against Manikanta and Prakash. They  will meet Rupam and Pradip pair for the remaining place in the final.
