MPA raising day celebrated

IMPHAL, Feb 9: The 33rd raising day of MPA was celebrated today at the central headquarters, general headquarters, units and battalions of both UNLF and MPA, conveyed a press release issued by the outfit’s department of publicity director M Sak-hen.
The raising day celebration held at UNLF central headquarters was attended by the party’s Chairman Kh Pambei, department of publicity secretary S Tamphajao, organisation secretary Ksh Yoiheiba, health and family welfare secretary O Chingkheinganbi, staff of central headquarters and officers of other departments.
UNLF general secretary Ph Yaimachou, chief of army staff M Chaoba, minority affairs secretary Khuman Chiru, MNRF external affairs secretary Apam Singlai, MPA general headquarters VCs and general staff officers, MPA officers, NCOs, privates and leaders of different departments attended the raising day celebration held at the MPA general headquarters.
The main features of the raising day celebrations were hoisting of MPA flag, offering of floral tributes to all those people who had laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement and reading out of the MAC’s annual statement.
The outfit conveyed gratitude to all those people who extended physical, moral and monetary support towards successful celebration of the MPA’s 33rd raising day.
It also conveyed gratitude to the media fraternity.
