Seized drugs missing from NAB Malkhana

IMPHAL, Mar 23: In a development showing glaring lapse on part of the people involved in the investigation of the seizure of drugs worth more than Rs 27 crore from the possession of ADC Chandel Chairman and seven others, the SP of Narcotic and Affairs of Border (NAB) Manipur submitted an enquiry report before the Special Court, ND&PS mentioning that the samples which were sent for testing the seized items, had gone missing from the NAB PS Malkhana.
It may be recalled that a huge quantity of heroin and WY tablets, worth Rs 27 crore had been seized from the possession of former Chandel ADC Chairman Lhukhosei Zou and seven others on June 19, 2018.
