IMPHAL, Mar 24: Amidst rising concerns following the detection of COVID-19 case in the State, many of the passengers flown in from coronavirus-hit States have alleged that the screening at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport was done poorly.
Claiming that they prefer to be quarantined at Government approved quaran- tine centres, some of the passengers raised concern that home quarantine would prove fatal for the whole family and localities in case they have the coronavirus.
"We asked the health authority at the airport to acco- mmodate us at quarantine centres, but we were advised to quarantine our- selves at homes. They put home quarantine stamp on our hands. Our houses do not have the required standard and facility to properly quarantine ourselves," said one person who do not wished to be named.
