Many wish on Cheiraoba

IMPHAL, Mar 24: Governor Dr Najma Hep-tulla, Chief Minister N Biren and Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand Singh have extended warm greetings on the occasion of Meitei Cheiraoba.
He wished the people of the State a 'very happy Cheiraoba.'
Works Minister Th Biswajit also sent his wishes to the people on Meitei Cheiraoba.
"Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba symbolises the advent of the New year... The festival is celebrated with  pure mind and body rekindling a new vista of life for a better tomorrow. It is time to collectively work to destroy the dark forces in the society trying to disrupt the pace of development and progress," he said wishing for unity and peaceful coexistence amongst all sections of the society in the State.
IG AR (South) Major General KP Singh and all ranks of Assam Rifles also extended warm greetings and goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Cheiraoba.
"Cheiraoba festival heralds the advent of New Year and IGAR (South) earnestly wishes that all the goodwill bring us together, irrespective of caste, creed and faith. May the Lord Almighty bless us all with joy and happiness and guide us in our endeavours towards building a strong and prosperous Manipur State and Nation. May the Cheiraoba festival usher in peace, harmony and prosperity in Manipur for all the communities," said the IGAR South.
